Perfect fitment, My Pathfinder's hatch works perfectly!
I was in dire need for new hydraulic trunk lifts for my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder because my factory ones could not keep the hatch open anymore so I went on a man-hunt for the best I could find.First place I always check is Amazon.com and sure enough, found these ones by StrongArm. Don't bother looking for another better or cheaper set, go with the StrongArms and you will be very satisfied. Take it from a very satisfied customer.If you are in doubt, if you have a 2005+ Nissan Pathfinder, the StrongArm 6110 are the ones for your rear hatch.Installation Items:- flathead screwdriver- needlenose pliers (not necessary but made the job much faster)- mallet (again not necessary)- pliers (maybe necessary to rotate the ball joint to line up properly)- helpful friend/family member that can hold up the hatch (definitely needed)Install was EASY. Good OEM replacement arms
Not sure how much Nissan dealer would charge for there supports but this was the best price I could find. They were super easy to install and makes a huge difference when opening the lifegate. Money well spent.

Holds hatch well.
Replaced both arms and holds hatch very well. The directions were not easy to understand and difficult to read, but was able to figure out by viewing existing StrongArm and new StrongArm. First one took me 15 minutes (overly cautious) and the second one took 3 minutes as I knew exactly what to do. Materials seem to be excellent.

Ultimately great, but with a few caveats on installation
I bought these for my 2005 Xterra because the rear lift kept sagging, especially on cooler days (I hesitate to say cold, because this is Southern California after all). Anyway, there were no installation instructions included with the shocks and apparently Strongarm doesn't even have a website or installation videos on Youtube. I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing before I broke anything... So, it turns out that the particular shocks that I received were pretty stuck. No amount of twisting could get the hole aligned correct for attachment. After 10 minutes of struggling, I gave up and decided to give them a spray of WD-40 and let them "soak" for 5 minutes. I sprayed a small amount where the silver arm enters the cylinder and then held them vertically for a few minutes so that the spray could seep down a bit. Then I figured out the trick is to install the hatch side first, so that you can then use your hands to twist and loosen up the black cylinder body in order to get...

Works as expected, easy replacement
What more is there to say about a replacement auto part other than whether it worked or not. There was no distinguishable difference from the original part. The gate now works as it did when the Xterra was new.

2005 Xterra, they work at least as good than OEM.
Easy to install pop the old one's off and pop the new one's on. I can only say they look exactly the same as OEM and fit perfect on a 2005 Xterra. I can only give them 4 stars for now only because I don't know if they'll last very long then I would give them 5 out of 5 stars.

perfect fit on my 92 Pathy
It's nice not to have to hold the liftgate with my head anymore! Bought a pair from Amazon for less than the price of a single strut at the local shops. The stock Pathy's ball joints have to come out with the struts so all you need for the install is a open ended wrench. These struts come with a pair of ball joints. Installed 2 of these struts in about 5 minutes.

As Good As The Originals
Great replacement lifts. My OEM's lasted fourteen years until they quit lifting in colder temps. These replacements now lift & hold superbly in all conditions, as good as the originals. Very easy to install with a wrench/spanner but just make sure to follow the included instructions to the letter.

Perfect Fit
These are easy to install (although trying to removethe old ones may be a problem). The only thing -these are about two feet long and come in a boxthats 3ft X 18 inches square. In this time of trying toconserve resources this was a waste of; box, packingmaterial and shipping cost.Otherwise I replaced all four window and liftgateshocks in about 45 minutes, using just a open end wrench.
